Bats and Crows....Crows and Bats

Back to Stories Index

I was just reading Bravenet Eagle Forum and thought I would tell you our Halloween story,,, At our house we decorate mostly outside, graveyard with fog machine, monster hanging in tree, etc etc. On the porch are mostly whimsical things for the little ones, We have 2 battery operated Bats that are suspended, so we decided to give them a test run a couple of days before Halloween, Oh My... talk about The Birds, After 10 seconds, the Crows started arriving and really screamed as they flew amongst the trees, it was deafening, just like when there is a Bird of Prey in the area, We turned the Bats off and gradually the Crows settled down and flew off. Giving into temptation we started the bats off again, and in about 30 minutes....the same results. Bats and Crows, Crows and Bats. We did not turn them on again until Halloween evening and all was well. Thank goodness all the pets were inside or I am sure they would have been dived bombed,,
