Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Young Bald Eagle Rescued

This eagle was rescued on 11/16/16, by our Clinic Manager Jessica Paolello. It was reported to be on the ground near Stanwood and unable to fly. The people who reported seeing her were not sure what had happened.

We have not found any obvious fractures and blood tests were good. She was emaciated and may have some internal trauma. At this time, she is stable and we will get her to a healthy weight. Eventually, she will join our other rehabbing juvenile Bald eagle in our outdoor eagle flight until she is ready to be released. Status - died. Sadly, she was too septic to recover even with antibiotics.
