Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Tree Rescue!

This Virginia Opossum was found tied in a bag and hung in a tree. He was discovered at a local park and the rescuers brought him to us. It was 85* and someone had left him for dead. He is so lucky he was found. He is a juvenile and scared, he was a bit dehydrated but otherwise is in good health. The purple bag was a Royal Crown whiskey bag. We reported the case to law enforcement and the parks department, as this was criminal and sociopathic behavior. Thank you to the rescuer for sharing this photo of his rescue. Status: Released.
