Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Great horned owl

This owl was transferred to us by a vet clinic in Oak Harbor on 8/7/17. She had been caught up in some barbed wire and was injured.

She has had surgery to repair the hole caused in the entanglement and it is healing up nicely. She is eating well and we hope will be ready to go to an outside enclosure soon.

Once she is healed and flying again, she will be ready to be released. Status - released.
