Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

This young Bald eagle was rescued on 8/15 by our staff. It was seen on the ground and unable to fly. The eagle was suffering from severe emaciation and was so hungry it had been eating slugs and grass. We discovered the grass and slugs because he regurgitated that after he arrived here.

He is still in guarded condition, but we are encouraged that he is standing. Status - released.
