Patient Updates
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

American Kestrel
We received this Kestrel from Mt. Vernon today (12/2/19). He is banded, but unfortunately USGS had no data on him because the bander has not yet registered his bands. He is suffering from severe head trauma and possibly spinal trauma. We have stabilized him and will do more diagnostic tests if he improves. His prognosis is guarded as he is in critical condition. Status: Died overnight, as his injuries were just too severe.
