Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

By Sarvey Wildlife / Monday, November 2, 2020 /

She was found stuck in the rafters of a building and rescued. Her wing has several wounds which our vet, Dr. Kovar, surgically sutured. It is common for Barn owls to have multiple clutches and this one was born late summer. She will receive physical therapy to be sure that the wing has good range of motion as it heals and medications to prevent infection. Status: released back to her family.
