Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. Northern Flicker
We commonly see the Red-shafted flicker but there are also Intergrades and this is one of them. Yellow-shafted flickers are found to the east and far north. The intergrades are unique and this is the first one we’ve had in care. She had some head trauma, but is improving and was recently moved to an outdoor flight enclosure. Status: Released
