Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. Barred owl surgery
We rescued this owl on 11/18 after he was hit by a car. His right leg was fractured and our vet, Dr. Kovar surgically stabilized the bone by pinning it. The leg has healed and the pin was removed. He will soon be going outside for flight conditioning and then will be released. Status: Released
