Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

We do! Our Baby Bird nursery is now filled with bats. We are batsitting. Our board member, Barb Ogaard is away at a conference - so, we are caring for her rehabbing bats.

Barb works with Bats Northwest and helps rehabilitate bats in the area. Our cages are filled with Big Brown, Silver-haired, California, Little Brown, and Long-eared bats.
The little one in the blue fleece is a Big Brown bat, and the one crawling out of the dish of mealworms is a Long-eared bat.

Don't forget that you can see Barb at Adopt - A - Stream on October 21 at 7 pm in Everett, WA. She has been educating people about bats for years. The presentation is fun and informative for all ages. Just in time for Halloween, learn all about these amazing animals.
