Since October 1st, we have taken in 13 Barred owls. Ten were hit by cars, two hit windows, and one was an entanglement. As the daylight hours end during commute time, car strikes ramp up. This is a record number for us this year and our ICU is very busy. Your donations help us provide medical care and food to these patients during their time with us. We have released 6 of Barred owls in the past two weeks, but more arrive every day. Other species of owls we have seen include Great Horned, Pygmy, Saw-whet, Short-eared, and Long eared owls!
