Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,500 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. Raccoons!
We spent the fall and winter preparing for our raccoon patients this season. All new chainlink enclosures were constructed and we increased our capacity to care for more and more raccoons. Many centers do not treat raccoons, as they need to be cared for in separate areas from other baby mammals. Our new raccoon nursery has all new enclosures too! We can now save twice as many raccoons annually.
