Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Rescued Virginia Opossum

By Sarvey Wildlife / Monday, November 6, 2017 /

This poor guy found himself entangled in a small backyard soccer net. The homeowner called us and we went out to rescue him from the netting. He was really lucky and only suffered some minor swelling in his back leg and neck.

This is a great time to remove play equipment and winterize your yard. As animals are moving around looking for food, they can be trapped in buckets or netting, and get into trouble. Status - released.
