Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Damaged Robin

This poor American robin was to us after being kept by a citizen for six weeks. The presenter decided to try to rehabilitate the robin instead of bringing it to us immediately. It was found as a juvenile and improper caging, inadequate diet, stress, and poor husbandry have left the bird in terrible condition. The feathers are broken or missing from both wings and over most of its body. Please leave wildlife rehabilitation to the professionals. This was completely preventable and illegal. Status: released.
