Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Orphaned River otter pup

This little otter was found all alone on a trail at Lake Fenwick. She was cold and presumed dead. At the time she was just a week or so old, but the presenter managed to keep her alive. We have had her since the 17th and she is doing well. Her eyes are about to open, which puts her at about a month old. Status: transferred for continued care. She was sent to Whatcom Humane Wildlife in Bellingham on 5/2/20, as they had just received a couple of river otters and it was important that ours had siblings.
