Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

This little Merlin was found on the ground two weeks ago and brought to us. She was in a neighborhood and discovered by a dog. She was too little to be out of the nest and we didn't know where the nest was to attempt to reunite her. Maybe she was displaced during the firework activity that happened in many areas during that week. Update: We worked with The Seattle Merlin Project and they were able to locate the family and her fledgling siblings. We had her banded and released her back to her family.
