Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

She is really enjoying her heat lamp and her nap. She was found acting lethargic. She is under observation and treatment for potential poisoning. These herbivores eat ferns, shoots, and woody plants. They can live five to ten years! Status: euthanized. Sadly, we determined she was blind. Whether that was from disease or neurological issues, she was not able to be released and humane euthanasia was our only option.
